Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is an British music producer and vocalist. Harry Styles was one among the founders of One Direction. The band is based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England, Styles is the child of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School which is where he formed his own band, composed of three classmates, which was dubbed White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they took home the trophy. Though he's been fascinated by music, he was also interested in becoming an attorney or physiotherapist. He was employed at an area bakery on a part-time basis to help his family financially. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in the year 2010 and performed Is not She Lovely, an iconic Stevie Wonder song. He was selected. This is why his band was split. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury participant on The X Factor suggested Harry Styles join a band called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in the year 2010. They sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which made them one of the frontrunners to win the contest. Despite this, they finished third, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles was not the winner. Cowell had paid 2,000,000 pounds under a contract with One Direction.
